Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain designed to cover the front of your teeth. They are custom-made in a dental laboratory to fit perfectly over each tooth. A veneer can cover a single tooth or multiple teeth depending on your needs.

Porcelain veneers are a good option if you are looking for a cosmetic or restorative fix for the defective teeth in the front of your mouth.

They are an ideal choice for correcting a number of cosmetic dental issues, including:

- Discoloration

- Chipped or fractured teeth

- Misshapen teeth

- Gaps between teeth

- Misaligned or uneven teeth

- Misaligned bite

- Worn down teeth

Porcelain Veneers Procedure

During the procedure, we remove a small layer of enamel from your teeth. Then, we take a dental impression to create your custom veneers. This impression is sent to our dental lab, where your veneers are fabricated. We place temporary veneers over your teeth to protect them. Once your veneers are completed, you return to our office. We check the fit and color of the veneers before seating them securely over your teeth.

Once your veneers are cemented, we check your bite to ensure your veneers are settling properly. We may need to make adjustments to ensure your teeth and veneers are functioning together comfortably.

Aftercare for Porcelain Veneers

After your porcelain veneers are complete, you will follow a regular oral hygiene routine. This will ensure that your veneers stay bright and healthy. Brushing twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and flossing at least once a day is recommended.

The patient must be sure that they are committed to maintaining the look and condition of their new smile. They should regularly visit the dentist for routine cleanings and checkups.

Porcelain Veneers are an excellent restorative solution for patients. It is stain-resistant, making it a comfortable choice for the patient. It is a minimally invasive procedure that helps provide a smile makeover to the patient.
